Oregon Adventure Theatre - (OAT) will host in-person auditions for our Summer 2023 outdoor traveling show: William Shakespeare’s - Julius Caesar, directed by Eleanor Johnson.
We are looking to narrow down this 46-character play to 9 actors, thus, it will be a very ensemble-motivated piece.
This is a PAID production, with actors getting paid a stipend of at least $500.
We encourage all genders/ethnicities/ages to audition.

Preparation:
Bring a calendar with all conflicts for the rehearsal/show dates below. A Shakespeare monologue - under 3 minutes, in which you are comfortable receiving and taking direction in addition to being ready for a short interview with the director.

If callbacks are necessary they will be held 4/1/23 from Noon-3 PM.
Rehearsals:
- Book Work: 5/12/23, 5/17/23, 5/19/23, 5/22/23, 5/23/23 from 7-10:30 PM
- Off-Book Rehearsals: 6/19/23- 7/07/23: Monday-Thursday 7-10:30PM
- Tech: 7/22-7/27/23
We are currently planning on rehearsing in a public park in SE Portland.
Shows:
7/28-30/2023, 8/4-6/2023, 8/11-13/2023, and the overnight campout performance at Milo McIver State Park 8/19/23
If you cannot attend in person, video audition submissions will be considered. Before your Shakespearian monologue, please include a brief introduction and send your headshot, resume and all conflicts between May 12th- August 19th to oregonadventuretheatre@gmail.com.
